Bill and Ross Turner are phenomenal filmmakers, having given us the feature documentaries Tchoupitoulas and 45365, both part of a new wave and kind of city film. They’re also reinventing the making of/behind-the-scenes genre with their direct, interview-free short docs made on the sets of friends’ fiction films. Previously the Ross brothers shot two shorts during the production of Benh Zeitlin’s Beats of the Southern Wild (which I’m not certain is available on the DVD and/or Blu-ray release). Now, they’ve made at least one on the making of David Lowery’s Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, which opened in theaters Friday.
Film.com is hosting the exclusive premiere of this new, untitled 13 1/2-minute short, but fortunately it’s a video we can share with you right here.
