Nominees have been announced for the Audience Choice, Heterodox, and two broadcast program awards, while the short film shortlist and crop of recognized "Unforgettable" subjects were also unveiled.

The Cinema Eye Honors have announced some of this year’s nominees while also revealing a new category awarding broadcast series, distinguishing them from broadcast features. Among those competing in the inaugural bunch are Steve JamesAmerica to Me, Liz Garbus The Fourth Estate, and of course Netflix’s popular Wild Wild Country.

The other categories covered in this first wave include the Audience Choice Prize, which includes obvious box office hits like RBG, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, Free Solo, and Three Identical Strangers, as well as Shirkers, which is just dropping on Netflix this week.

The subjects of Shirkers, as well as the other popular titles mentioned, have also been recognized among this year’s “Unforgettables,” which unlike the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards allows for deceased subjects, so Fred Rogers is in there.

Below is the full list of initial Cinema Eye Honors nominees (including the drama-hybrid-showcasing Heterodox Award), as well as the shortlist of shorts contenders, and highlighted unforgettable subjects.
