We lost one of the finest, most notable members of the documentary community last month when Bruce Sinofsky died of complications from diabetes on February 21. His legacy is tremendous, and the filmmaker will receive a much deserved public memorial and tribute on May 5, 2015. The event will be held at New York City’s Walter Reade Theater and is being sponsored by the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
Joe Berlinger, Sinofsky’s directorial partner on the classic docs Brother’s Keeper, Some Kind of Monster and the Paradise Lost trilogy, announced the memorial last week and will host the tribute with other friends and colleagues. The service will take place from 2:00–3:30pm. There will be a reception following the celebration of Sinofsky’s life and work.
If you would like to attend and pay your respects, please RSVP to [email protected].
